ABOUT ABOUT

* Tickets are also usually available at the box office *

William Archibald's Tony winning play “The Innocents", comes to the Scenic stage March 29th, 30th, 31st and April 5th and 6th.

Directed by Jeff Gregoire with Assistant Director Jared Griffin, Stage manager Ashley Pence, Set Foreman Vicki Watson, Meggin Dail Set decorator and Props extraordinaire, and many others already hard at work to bring this to the stage.

The Innocents is an adaptation of Henry James's classic novel "The Turn of the Screw”.

A new governess Miss Giddens (played by Emily Getchell-Lacey) is brought to Bly, a large country house in England, to care for two orphaned children, Master Miles (Radu Dragoiescu) and Miss Flora (Carly Griffin). Why do they need a new governess? What happened to the previous one? Mrs Grose the housekeeper (Beth Champagne) ‘knows the answers, but does she want to share that information? How much should she tell the new governess? Will it scare her away?

The children seem such a delight, carefree and charming. How far does that go? Are they really well behaved? What do they know? What have they seen? Who comes and visits them? Or are they really trying to communicate through the children?

Who are these two that appear out in the gardens and in the home? Has Miss Jessel the previous governess been visiting Flora?

What about Peter Quint, what happened to him? What has he been teaching and bringing out in Miles? Miss Giddens is trying to get to the bottom of this, or is this really her imagination filling in what she has been seeing and witnessing?

All these questions can be answered...... or some left up to your own imagination........ what you are really seeing and believing?

Come see “The lnnocents”. Decide for yourself. This is one to put the creep in your seat at the Scenic.
